MTV’s Scream TV series is fast approaching, and we’ve got three trailers right here for you to check out.
Based on the film franchise created by Wes Craven, the TV series follows a college campus as it is ravaged by a series of murders.
The following TV spots, which aired during the MTV Movie Awards, give us a good idea of what we’re to expect going in: a tongue-in-cheek slasher-fest with a tone akin to the films that inspired it.
Spearheaded by Ryan Murphy, known for creating Nip/Tuck, Glee, American Horror Story, and directing the HBO film The Normal Heart.
The stabbings and quips will begin on MTV June 30th (U.S. date).

The show’s synopsis, thanks to THR:
The series kicks off after a cyberbullying incident results in a brutal murder, with the shocking violence stirring up memories of a killing spree from the past that has haunted some, intrigued others and maybe just inspired a new killer. It centers on a group of new teens — with two old friends struggling to reconnect at its heart — who become lovers, enemies, suspects, targets and victims of a killer who’s out for blood.
