‘Anything for Jackson’ Trailer: Shudder Horror Film Shows a Reverse Exorcism Really Isn’t a Great Idea

Check out the trailer for upcoming Shudder release Anything for Jackson.

The horror film tells of what unfolds when a bereaved couple, who are Satanists, kidnap a pregnant woman so they can use an ancient spellbook to enforce a Reverse Exorcism: putting their dead grandson’s spirit into her unborn child. You know, the usual.  Yep, some gnarly stuff on offer here.

The film is directed by Justin G. Dyck and written by Keith Cooper, going a much different route after their various family and Christmas themed TV movies. Sheila McCarthy (The Umbrella Academy) and Julian Richings (The Witch) play the couple and newcomer Konstantina Mantelos plays the poor kidnapped woman.

Anything for Jackson will be hitting horror streamer Shudder in Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., U.K., and Ireland on December 5th. Perfect Xmas viewing!

Official synopsis for Anything for Jackson:

After losing their only grandson in a car accident, grief-stricken Audrey and Henry, a doctor, kidnaps his pregnant patient with the intention of performing a “Reverse Exorcism”, putting Jackson inside her unborn child.

It doesn’t take long to figure out Jackson isn’t the only ghost the grandparents invited into their home. Now it’s a race against time for the couple, as well as the pregnant woman to figure a way out of the haunting they’ve set upon themselves.
