Director James Wan shed a little more light on the new outfit, describing it as “the stealth suit” on social media. “Atlantean tech based on cephalopod’s camouflaging ability,” Wan captioned his post with the same images. “[Screenwriter] David Leslie Johnson and I were inspired by the 80’s “blue suit”.”

Wan stays at the helm after directing the first Aquaman film, returning with original cast members Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. As for plot, unfortunately details are still being kept deep in the Trench.

As of now, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has a US release date of December 22nd and an Australian release of December 26th, 2022.
