Check out the promising final trailer that Netflix has released for Arcane, a gorgeous-looking CG-animated series set in the universe of hugely popular online battle arena game, League of Legends.
The series tells of the tensions that reach boiling point between the rich city of Piltover and the seedy underbelly of Zaun. Everything hits the fan with the creation of hextech — a way for any person to control magical energy – in Piltover; and in Zaun, a new drug called shimmer transforms humans into monsters.
Fans of the game and those well versed in this world will certainly have a lot to connect with, particularly with characters such as Vi, Jinx, Caitlyn, Jayce and Viktor. For everyone else, hopefully this sprawling story, the grand-looking world, and the big action will make for an engrossing outing. Based on the trailer, this thing looks great; count me in.
The voice cast includes Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell, Kevin Alejandro, Katie Leung, Jason Spisak, Toks Olagundoye, JB Blanc, and Harry Lloyd.
Arcane will be released in three 3-episode “acts” released over 3 weeks. The first act arrives on November 6th, the second on November 13th, and the third on November 20th.
