Take a look at the trailer released for upcoming sci-fi film Archive, starring and produced by Theo James.
The film is set in the year 2038 and tells of a tech genius who is working on human-equivalent Artificial Intelligence. A giant tech company has a firm eye on what he’s tackling, which is problematic enough, although nothing compared to what’s about to unfold when he decides to use the technology to bring back his deceased his wife.
There are a number of familiar elements to this sci-fi film, although that’s not at all to say that it won’t be good. The trailer shows off some strong visuals and teases a potentially emotional ‘A.I. have feelings too’ plot. Looking forward to checking it out.
This marks the feature debut for writer-director Gavin Rothery, who worked as visual effects supervisor and conceptual designer on Duncan Jones’ fantastic 2009 sci-fi pic Moon.
Archive, also starring Rhona Mitra, Stacy Martin and Toby Jones, will be getting an On Demand and Digital release in the U.S. on July 10th.
2038: George Almore is working on a true human-equivalent AI. His latest prototype is almost ready. This sensitive phase is also the riskiest. Especially as he has a goal that must be hidden at all costs: being reunited with his dead wife.
