New ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Trailer Gets Nostalgic By Looking Back at Every MCU Film So Far

Marvel Entertainment

A new trailer – well, more like an extended TV spot – has arrived for Avengers: Endgame, taking a look back at the MCU’s journey thus far.

How far we’ve come since Jon Favreau’s Iron Man introduced us to the beginnings of a theatrical universe that would change the cinematic landscape. “You think you’re the only superhero in the world?” Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury had told Tony Stark in Iron Man‘s post-credit sequence. “Mr. Stark, you’ve become part of a bigger universe. You just don’t know it yet.”

Well, here we are, 11 years later and 21 movies in, gearing up for the major cinematic event that is Avengers: Endgame. The promo piece below doesn’t offer up new footage – a good thing this close to the film’s release. Instead, it drives home a taste of the gargantuan effort that has gone into making this franchise a reality, and the many characters that have earned our investment over the years.

Not long at all now. Avengers: Endgame, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo (Captain America: Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War) arrives in Australia on April 24 and hits the US on April 26.

Official synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
