We’re in the midst of a clash of heroes. As Iron Man and Captain America prepare to go head to head, the son of Krypton is about to go up against the Bat of Gotham in Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. And we have the huge new trailer for the film right here.
The trailer starts off in awesome fashion, as Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne duke it out in a sly verbal battle. “I love bringing people together!” Luther arrives.
There’s plenty going on in this big new trailer. The anger that Superman and Batman have towards each other is driven home even further, before we’re introduced to a new villain in the form of Doomsday.
It’s a pretty big reveal, and we’re not too sure we needed to see his inclusion prior to release. Yes, that hero shot with Wonder Woman is a doozy, but it highlights the fact our two heroes have to team up at some point. While that’s no secret, it may have been better to keep it visually hidden for some time.
Nevertheless, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice looks like an epic blockbuster. We’ve all been looking forward to seeing these two heroes share the screen for ages. Fingers crossed Snyder does the concept justice.
The film drops in Australia on March 24 and in the U.S. on March 25.
Synopsis for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice:
From director Zack Snyder (“Man of Steel”) comes “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” starring Oscar winner Ben Affleck (“Argo”) as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill (“Man of Steel,” “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”) as Superman/Clark Kent in the characters’ first big-screen pairing.
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
