A great new Birdman featurette has been released, this one focusing on Michael Keaton’s huge performance. “This is the hardest role I’ve ever seen written for an actor,” says Emma Stone, one of the many cast and crew members interviewed in this marketing piece. If early reviews are anything to go by, it’s looking like Keaton well and truly knocked it out of the park. With hype mounting for Benedict Cumberbatch’s turn in The Imitation Game, Eddie Redmayne’s in The Theory of Everything, and (of course) Steve Carell’s in Foxcatcher, the Best Actor race is looking to be competitive indeed.
Birdman also stars Zach Galifianakis, Edward Norton, Andrea Riseborough, Amy Ryan, Emma Stone, and Naomi Watts.
