The scene finds Black Widow / Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) and her sister figure, Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), in a chopper, attempting to help their father figure, Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian (David Harbour), escape from a prison. “You made a scene, didn’t you?” Natasha says, as Alexei makes a run for it – along with what appear to be many other prisoners.
Mostly positive early reviews arriving for the Marvel film. At the time of writing, Black Widow has an 83% on Rotten Tomatoes with 185 critic reviews and a Metacritic score of 68 based on 39 critic reviews.
The rest of us can see what we think when it hits Australian cinemas on July 8th and US cinemas on July 9th. Black Widow will also be released on Disney+ Premiere Access: $34.99 in Aus and $30 in US.
