‘Black Widow’ Clip: Scarlett Johansson & Florence Pugh Help David Harbour Escape

Marvel Studios

Marvel Studios has dropped the first official clip from Black Widow, which is finally on the verge of wide release following Covid-caused delays that saw it pushed back over a year.

The scene finds Black Widow / Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson) and her sister figure, Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), in a chopper, attempting to help their father figure, Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian (David Harbour), escape from a prison. “You made a scene, didn’t you?” Natasha says, as Alexei makes a run for it – along with what appear to be many other prisoners.

Mostly positive early reviews arriving for the Marvel film. At the time of writing, Black Widow has an 83% on Rotten Tomatoes with 185 critic reviews and a Metacritic score of 68 based on 39 critic reviews.

The rest of us can see what we think when it hits Australian cinemas on July 8th and US cinemas on July 9th. Black Widow will also be released on Disney+ Premiere Access: $34.99 in Aus and $30 in US.
