Ever watched Glee and wished that a masked killer would just get in there already? A red band trailer has been released for Stage Fright, an upcoming horror-comedy-musical. Not to be confused with the 1950 thriller from director Alfred Hitchcock, this slasher film is set in a snobby musical theatre camp, which is terrorised by a blood-thirsty killer who happens to hate musical theatre. It’s a great trailer, giving us an idea of the blood-letting and musical leanings that writer-director Jerome Sable infuses into the proceedings. The humour is firmly tongue-in-cheek, and any trailer that has Minnie Driver being stabbed as its opening will definitely grab our attention. It doesn’t look like it breaks any new ground, but we’re hoping that this will be a somewhat original, entertaining slasher film.
“Isn’t it wrong to sing and dance when someone just died?”
