‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’: Behind the Scenes Look at Final Season Brings the Tears

NBC

Look, Brooklyn Nine-Nine was saved before by fans coming together, so, maybe…  if we’re all extra loud this time? Please?

A short-but-emotional look at the upcoming final season of the much-loved comedy series has been released by NBC – and it may work up some feels for longtime fans.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been an overwhelmingly positive experience,” says star and producer Andy Samberg, who plays Det. Jake Peralta. “It’s just nice to come into work every day and work with people that you’re happy to see.”

“It’s changed my life,” says a teary-eyed Melissa Fumero, who plays Amy Santiago. And then they have Scully, actor Joel McKinnon Miller,  breaking down. “Every time that I would see my name on the call sheet was an absolute real thrill.”

This writer will remain in denial that this is it for the Brooklyn Nine-Nine family until the last credits roll – and even then, I’ll hold out hope. Sigh. Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 8, also starring Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, and Dirk Blocker, will begin on NBC on August 12th.
