Following on from running through the jungle in high heels in Jurassic World, Bryce Dallas Howard has signed up to star opposite Matthew McConaughey in Gold.
Directed by Traffic screenwriter Stephen Gaghan, who also directed 2005 film Syriana, Gold will see McConaughey play a down-on-his-luck hustler who heads into the Indonesian jungle to find gold. Howard will be playing his love interest, while Edgar Ramirez is on board as a geologist McConaughey teams up with.
The drama also stars Corey Stoll, Tobey Kebbell, Bruce Greenwood and Stacy Keach.
Gaghan has also co-written the screenplay alongside Patrick Massett and John Zinman, whose credits include TV’s Friday Night Lights and The Blacklist.
Gold is currently in production and is expected to be released in 2016.
Apart from Gold, Howard’s upcoming projects include Disney’s Pete’s Dragon and the still-untitled sequel to Jurassic World, which will also have Chris Pratt back on board.
