‘Convergence: Courage in a Crisis’ Trailer: Netflix Doc Highlights the Humanity in the Midst of a Pandemic

Take a look at the trailer that’s arrived for Convergence: Courage in a Crisis, a Netflix documentary following various unsung heroes across the globe during the pandemic.

This is the result of an ambitious collaboration, focusing on nine individuals across eight countries in order to provide a big look at how the COVID crisis unfolded in different sectors – and highlighting the humanity throughout it all. Among the subjects: a Syrian refugee fighting the UK government to include hospital cleaners and porters in bereavement pay, and a doctor committed to serving Miami’s homeless community.

Oscar-winning doc maker Orlando von Einsiedel (Virunga, The White Helmets) is director and producer, with a number of co-directors on board, including Hassan Akkad, Guillermo Galdos and Lieven Courthouts.

It looks like an emotional and potentially eye-opening watch, although, whether you’re keen to jump in will likely have to do with whether or not you’ve already reached COVID fatigue when it comes to media.

Convergence: Courage in a Crisis will be streaming on Netflix and entering limited US cinemas on October 12th.
