HBO has unveiled a new trailer for Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s ninth season, the first since season 8 wrapped in 2011.

Larry David is, unsurprisingly, still peeved and frustrated with everything and everyone in the upcoming ten-episode season. The trailer below finds Larry clashing with a judge, dealing with an employee who failed to turn up to work due to constipation, pushing a perfume saleswoman, and being told to leave by, well, most of the people in his life. Nothing’s changed then.

Apart from the Seinfeld co-creator being back as this over-the-top version of himself, the new chapter also sees the return of Cheryl Hines as Cheryl, Jeff Garlin as Jeff, Susie Essman as Susie and J.B. Smoove as Leon, as well as Richard Lewis, Bob Einstein, Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen. Season 9 will also feature appearances by Elizabeth Banks, Ed Begley, Jr., Carrie Brownstein, Bryan Cranston, Lauren Graham, Jimmy Kimmel, Nick Offerman, Nasim Pedrad and Elizabeth Perkins.

The new season kicks off on HBO on October 1.

Curb Your Enthusiasm stars ‘Seinfeld’ co-creator Larry David as himself in an unsparing but tongue-in-cheek depiction of his life. Shot in a verite style and featuring celebrities playing themselves, the episodes are improvised by the actors from an outline created by David. The series also stars Cheryl Hines as David’s wife Cheryl, Jeff Garlin as David’s manager Jeff and Susie Essman as Jeff’s wife Susie.
