Take a look at the big new trailer Netflix has released for Cursed, an upcoming fantasy series starring Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why, Knives Out).
Based on a graphic novel written by Tom Wheeler (Puss in Boots) and illustrated by Frank Miller (Sin City), the series takes a new look at the Arthurian legend, here from the point of view of teenage heroine Nimue. As a war on magic unfolds, Nimue heads on a quest to find Merlin and soon finds herself leading an uprising.
Looks like a big show; one that could very well be another medieval fantasy hit for Netflix following The Witcher. Looking forward to checking it out.
Cursed, with a cast that includes Gustaf Skarsgård (Vikings) as Merlin and Devon Terrell (Barry) as Arthur, hits Netflix on July 17.
Official synopsis for Cursed:
Based on the upcoming book of the same name, Cursed is a re-imagining of the Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther.
