How does Dwayne Johnson manage to fit so, so, so much into his schedule? Siri.
That’s the idea behind an amusing, slickly crafted 3-minute, 45-second short film released by Apple. Titled The Rock x Siri: Dominate the Day, the short finds the superstar packing a day with weightlifting, bonsai tree trimming, piloting a passenger plane to Rome, cooking with master chef Ludo Lefebvre, taking a selfie in outer space, and of course shooting a big-budget movie. It’s just another day for Johnson.
It’s a smart marketing movie for Apple. In under a day, the video has reached over 5 and a half million views on Apple’s YouTube channel and over 4 and a half million on DJ’s Facebook post. Hell, the ad for the short alone has seen over 4 million views on DJ’s Instagram.
The packed day Johnson has in the short may seem crazy, but it’s probably only a mild exaggeration from the man’s real-life schedule.
On the horizon for Johnson is Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Rampage, Skyscraper, the ninth Fast & Furious movie, a Fast & Furious spinoff with Jason Statham, the DCEU’s Black Adam, Shane Black’s Doc Savage, a remake of Big Trouble in Little China, The Janson Directive, and Disney’s Jungle Cruise. Plus, he’s got an ongoing television series with HBO’s Ballers. C’mon!
