HBO has dropped the official teaser trailer for Fahrenheit 451, their upcoming adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s highly regarded dystopian novel.

Set in a dystopian, terrifying future, the film finds Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon playing two “firemen” whose job it is to burn books in society’s mission to rewrite history and destroy knowledge. Things start changing for Jordan’s character when he meets a free-spirited young woman, and he soon finds himself rebelling against society.

The film is directed and written by acclaimed filmmaker Ramin Bahrani, whose credits include 99 Homes (also starring Shannon) and underseen indie gems Man Push Cart, Chop Shop and Goodbye Solo.

Fahrenheit 451, also starring Sofia Boutella, Laura Harrier, Keir Dullea, Martin Donovan, Grace Lynn Kung, and Jane Moffatt, will hit HBO in May.
