The first trailer for Furious 7 has finally dropped, providing a great look at the highly anticipated next chapter of the action franchise. From the get-go, the trailer starts ticking off the right boxes for fans of the series. We meet our gang in their vehicles, as they proceed to fall out of a moving plane, and hit the road in a high speed road fight. Yep, it’s ridiculous and fun as hell; just what made the last two F&F films such great outings. Stunts, cars, guns, and a scenery-chewing cast. What more could fans want? Of course, it’s quite bittersweet at the same time. Paul Walker’s tragic death inevitably weighs heavily on the proceedings. Fingers crossed Walker’s last film serves as a fitting goodbye, in the very franchise that helped make him a household name.
On another note, it’s going to be interesting to see how James Wan (Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring) fares as an action director. The Furious 7 trailer certainly provides confidence…
Furious 7 stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Kurt Russell, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Djimon Hounsou, Lucas Black, and John Brotherton.
