New ‘Free Guy’ Trailer: Ryan Reynolds is a Character in Taika Waititi’s Video Game

Walt Disney Studios Australia

A big new trailer has arrived for Free Guy, a Ryan Reynolds-starring and produced action-adventure that was supposed to hit cinemas back in July, before, you know.

We get plenty of new footage in the new trailer for the film, which finds Reynolds playing a video game background character who one day essentially recodes himself and becomes self-aware.

This fun-looking flick also stars Jodie Comer, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and Taika Waititi, and is directed by Shawn Levy, known for the Night at the Museum trilogy, Real Steel and exec producing/directing Stranger Things.

Hope this one will have been worth the wait. Free Guy will be opening in Australian cinemas on December 10th and US cinemas on December 11th.
