The latest red band trailer has been released for 22 Jump Street, the upcoming sequel starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. The boys are going undercover again, but this time they’ll be hitting college. Sex, drugs and spring break ensues. There are quite a few laughs to be found in this new red band piece, especially when Hill’s fistfight with a girl suddenly becomes awkward. The action looks much bigger this time round, too. The first film was a bona fide box-office hit, bringing in over $201 million in worldwide box-office receipts with a budget of around $42 million. The sequel will most likely top those numbers, continuing Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s winning streak as The Lego Movie continues to rake it in around the world.
Starring Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Nick Offerman, Amber Stevens, Peter Stormare, Rob Riggle, Dave Franco, Jillian Bell, and Craig Roberts.
Official synopsis for 22 Jump Street:
After making their way through high school (twice), big changes are in store for officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) when they go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team, and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. Now they don’t have to just crack the case – they have to figure out if they can have a mature relationship. If these two overgrown adolescents can grow from freshmen into real men, college might be the best thing that ever happened to them.
