Surprise ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ Clip: Paul Rudd Meets the Crazy Little Mini-Pufts

Sony Pictures

Sony has dropped a surprise clip from long, long, long-awaited threequel Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which was once – pre, you know – scheduled to hit cinemas in July 2020 (check out when the official trailer dropped in December – 2019!).

The clip features a surprise reveal: Paul Rudd meets the Mini-Pufts, little versions of the gigantic Marshmallow Man that the original Ghostbusters took on back in 1984. They’re cute, pudgy, and, uh… kind of messed up. Take a look below.

Set to bring back Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and even Annie Potts, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is directed and co-written by Up in the Air and Juno helmer Jason Reitman, son of Ghostbusters 1 & 2 director Ivan Reitman. The cast includes Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace.

We’re actually, finally, really going to be getting this film, in US cinemas November 11th and Australian cinemas November 25th.

From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The film is written by Jason Reitman & Gil Kenan.
