The first trailer has been released for Heaven Is for Real, an upcoming drama based on the #1 New York Times best-seller. The film tells the true story of Colton (Connor Corum), a young boy who claims to have visited heaven during a near death experience. Furthermore, he recounts events that happened before he was even born. It’s all very spiritual and sentimental, if a bit cheezy. Schmaltz levels are definitely pushed high in the trailer, but we still think this may be a film worth viewing. Greg Kinnear is good value and director Randall Wallace, writer of Braveheart and writer-director of We Were Soldiers, has proven himself to be a talent.
Kelly Reilly, Thomas Haden Church, and Margo Martindale co-star.
