‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’: Watch an Orchestral Performance of Tyler Bates’ Score

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn has given fans a taste of the film’s score.

Gunn took to his Facebook account with a live video from the world-famous London recording studio Abbey Road, which has housed recordings for some of the biggest film scores, including Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Arc and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The video, which you can watch for yourself below, has Gunn and returning composer Tyler Bates introducing a live look at the symphony orchestra playing part of the film’s score.

Composer Tyler Bates is known for previous Gunn films Slither and Super, as well as Zac Snyder pictures Dawn of the Dead, 300, Watchmen and Sucker Punch. His other credits include The Devil’s Rejects, Killer Joe, The Way, John Wick and the upcoming horror-thriller The Belko Experiment.

Marvel‘s highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, featuring a cast that includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Kurt Russell and Glenn Close, arrives in Australia on April 25 and opens in the US on May 5, 2017.
