Final Hitman: Agent 47 Trailer is All Blood & Action

Bullets, blood, and mayhem reign in the final trailer released for Hitman: Agent 47.

Hitman: Agent 47 tells of our titular assassin (Rupert Friend), a genetically engineered killing machine known only by the barcode on his neck. He teams up with Katia van Dees (Hannah Ware), who may be holding the key to taking down a mega-corporation planning to unlock the secret of Agent 47’s past in order to create an army of killers.

If you’re a fan of some slick-looking shoot-em-ups, this may be your cup of tea. The new trailer shows off the movie’s kinetic, if aimless, tone, and we’re given a better understanding of Zachary Quinto’s role. It’s all pretty harmless, even if there doesn’t seem to be any real fresh ideas on display. Gone are the video game series’ reliance on mood and tact, interspersed by brutal executions. Still, here’s hoping for some fun.

Hitman: Agent 47, also starring Ciarán Hinds and Thomas Kretschmann, will be hitting U.S. cinemas on August 21 and Australian cinemas on August 27.
