I Am Not A Serial Killer has been hitting the festival circuit since its premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival (SXSW), and the film is now set to see a limited theatrical release here in Australia.

Starring Max Records (Where the Wild Things Are) and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future trilogy), this low-budget thriller is set in a mid western town and tells of a troubled teen who must hunt down and destroy a supernatural killer whilst keeping his own inner demons at bay.

It’s an enticing concept, and one that some reviews say is made all the more effective thanks to the film’s focus on character and director Billy O’Brien’s naturalistic, low-def approach.

Monster Pictures is behind I Am Not A Serial Killer‘s Australian theatrical release. Scroll down for ticket info.

The dark coming-of-age thriller stars Max Records (WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE) as John Wayne Cleaver, a teenager who works in the family funeral home – maybe not the best job for a diagnosed sociopath, but one that becomes an unexpected lifeline when a serial killer begins stalking his wintry mid western town and he must tap his own dark instincts to stop the killer before he strikes again.
