Into the Woods Featurette Offers a Good Look at the Musical

A decent-length Into the Woods featurette has been released, offering plenty of new footage from the upcoming musical. Disney’s adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s stage musical sees Rob Marshall (Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha, Nine) direct quite the cast, including Anna Kendrick, Meryl Streep, Chris Pine, Emily Blunt and Johnny Depp. We’re still in the air with this one. While the footage shown off in the Into the Woods featurette below does provide some confidence, we’re worried it all just seems a little… tacky? Probably not the word we’re looking for, but the point is we’re approaching this one with caution. Yet another quirky Depp outing doesn’t help our guardedness either. Fingers crossed our worries are proved wrong…

Into the Woods also stars James Corden, Lucy Punch, Lilla Crawford, Mackenzie Mauzy, Daniel Huttlestone, Tracey Ullman, and Christine Baranski.
