Could Relativity Media’s long-gestating reboot of The Crow finally be happening? Looks like it, and with Jason Momoa no less.

That’s right, our future Aquaman, known also for his roles in Stargate: Atlantis, Game of Thrones, and the remake of Conan the Barbarian, is said to be in talks to star in a new iteration of The Crow.

According to Mashable‘s sources, the Hawaiian-born actor “has figured out a way to work it around his Aquaman duties” and is circling the lead role in Relativity’s reboot.

This could very well be much more than a rumour, as Momoa took to Instagram a few days ago with a picture of himself alongside director Corin Hardy (The Hallow), who is attached at the helm. Take note of the hashtags #sealthedeal, #greatnewstocome and #dreamjob.

This new take on The Crow is expected to head into production pretty soon. In fact, word is that the film could be hitting cinemas before Aquaman, which is slated for U.S. release on July 27, 2018.

This one’s taken quite a while to come to life. Luke Evans was attached at one point, as was upcoming Ben-Hur star Jack Huston. Hell, you can even count Tom Hiddleston, James McAvoy and Bradley Cooper as names that where at point being mentioned for the part. At least from this news, it appears a new version of The Crow will finally come to fruition.

Stay tuned…
