‘John Wick 2’ Receives Title, Release Date, Setting

Keanu Reeves will be back kicking ass in the second John Wick film, which now has new title.

According to Box Office-reporting outlet Exhibitor Relations, the sequel has been titled John Wick: Chapter 2 and the aforementioned ass may very well be Italian.

John Wick: Chapter 2 will be, at least partly, shot in Rome. No plot details are known at this time, so it remains to be seen why our brooding pooch-lover finds himself in Europe. The first film’s plot did feature a New York hotel as an assassin hangout of sorts. Could Chapter 2 find Wick in a similar setting in Italy?

The sequel, which will see Chad Stahelski back on board as director and Derek Kolstad returning as screenwriter, will also star Ruby Rose, Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, John Leguizamo and Common, the latter of which is poised to play the villainous “head of security for a female crime lord.”

John Wick: Chapter 2 is currently lined up for U.S. release on February 10, 2017.
