John Wick: Chapter 2 hasn’t even dropped yet, but it looks like the powers that be are already confident the film will perform well.

How confident? Well, the third film is already being developed.

John Wick co-director and Chapter 2 director Chad Stahelski has revealed that the ideas are flowing for John Wick 3, which could very well give us more of Ian McShane and Lance Reddick.

“The studio has asked us to put our heads together and see if we can come up with something,” Stahelski told Collider at New York Comic Con. “Winston’s [McShane] is a big part of the next one, so is Lance Reddick. We’ve got some ideas.”

With both McShane and Reddick playing suave men that deal primarily out of the Continental Hotel, it’s been pretty intriguing to know just how kick-ass they are in the hitman game. When they get thrown into the fray, those in their sights will surely have their seconds numbered.

Stahelski also gave away a little bit more about John Wick: Chapter 2, revealing that the villain played by Aussie model and DJ turned actress Ruby Rose won’t be saying much at all.

“I don’t know if she was expecting Wick to be as kooky as it really is, but she’s mute in the movie, she does the whole thing in sign language,” Stahelski revealed. “She was nervous for the first couple days, and then she just went for it.”

Rose has locked in quite a bit of high-profile work in a relatively short amount of time. The actress arguably broke onto the world stage with her strong turn in Orange in the Black, and apart from the John Wick sequel has Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and xXx: The Return of Xander Cage on the way. She was also recently cast in Meg, a Jason Statham vehicle that will see him taking on a prehistoric giant shark.

John Wick: Chapter 2 hits US cinemas on February 10. An Australia release date has not yet been locked in.
