Universal Pictures has unveiled a big prologue for upcoming blockbuster Jurassic World Dominion.
Directed by Colin Trevorrow, helmer of the Jurassic franchise’s next chapter, the 5-minute prologue takes us back 65 million years to when dinosaurs ruled the earth. After a fateful showdown between a Gigantosaurus and a Tyrannosaurus Rex (now sporting some hair – more akin to what scientists believe T-Rex actually looked like), we are then propelled to the present day, with a T-Rex causing chaos in our world following the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. It’s certainly an enticing bit of marketing – one that those who attended IMAX previews of F9 may have already seen.
We’re ever so slowly inching towards Jurassic World Dominion‘s release. The sci-fi adventure was forced to figure out new ways to keep filming going during peak pandemic conditions, managing to complete a big production that included quite the large cast. The film will be bringing together an ensemble that includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Justice Smith, Omar Sy, and BD Wong, among others.
As of now, Jurassic World Dominion is set to stomp into Australian cinemas on June 9 and U.S. cinemas on June 10th, 2022.
