20th Century Fox has dropped the first trailer for Keeping Up with the Joneses, the upcoming comedy starring Zach Galifianakis, Isla Fisher, Jon Hamm, and Gal Gadot.
Galifianakis and Fisher play an ordinary suburban couple who find theie world turned upside down with they discover their new neighbours (Hamm, Gadot) are actually covert operatives.
It’s a familiar and safe little premise that will depend on the charm of the four leads to deliver the entertainment. It’s good to see Hamm hit up more comedic roles and more of Gal Gadot outside the DCEU is welcome. While Galifianakis’ stylings have gotten a little tired, at least in this writer’s opinion, having him bouncing off Fisher could work a treat. We’ll see.
Greg Mottola (Superbad, Adventureland, Paul) directs from a screenplay by Michael LeSieur (The Maiden Heist, You, Me and Dupree).
Keeping Up with the Joneses, also starring Patton Oswalt, Matt Walsh, Maribeth Monroe and Kevin Dunn, will arrive in Australia on October 20 and hit the U.S. on October 21.
Synopsis for Keeping Up with the Joneses:
