Netflix has released the first trailer for Living with Yourself, an upcoming comedy series that finds Paul Rudd taking on two lead roles.
Rudd plays struggling man Miles, who undergoes an experimental treatment in an effort to improve his life . The result is… well, he wakes up in a grave and returns home to find that he has been replaced by a new and improved version of himself. Yeeep.
Looks like things get hilarious and dark in this 8-episode series, which should offer Rudd some pretty layered material to work with. He’s great value, and having him playing two versions of the one guy, in a narrative told from various perspectives, is certainly enticing. Let’s do it.
The show comes from Timothy Greenberg, who has won two Emmys as an executive producer of The Daily Show. Rudd is attached as an EP on this one, too.
Also starring Aisling Bea, Desmin Borges, Karen Pittman and Zoe Chao, Living with Yourself is set to hit Netflix on October 18.
