A Super Bowl ad has dropped for Hugh Jackman’s highly anticipated third Wolverine picture, Logan.
The new marketing piece continues with the somber and deadly serious tone that has made the trailers for this X-Men chapter so exciting thus far. “Amazing Grace” gets a play this time around, as we’re offered up some repeated shots and a few new tidbits of footage, including a bit more from two of the film’s villains, Boyd Holbrook’s Donald Pierce and Stephen Merchant’s scary-looking Caliban.
There’s not much more to be said at this point. Yes, this looks freakin’ spectacular. Yes, we can’t wait.
Not long now: Logan, also starring Dafne Keen as Laura Kinney/X-23 and Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier/Professor X, will open in Australia on March 2 and hits the US on March 3.
And be sure to scroll down to check out a newly released poster for the film.
Official synopsis for Logan:
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hideout on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
