‘Love, Victor’ Scene Offers First Look at Hulu’s ‘Love, Simon’ Spinoff Series

A “First Look” scene has arrived for Love, Victor, Hulu’s upcoming series inspired by and set in the same world as the 2018 coming-of-age film Love, Simon. Yep, the Simonverse is expanding!

Michael Cimino (Annabelle Comes Home) plays Victor, a new student at Creekwood High School who, like Simon in the first film, is about to find himself on a journey of self-discovery in the midst of school’s ups and downs and struggling with his sexual orientation. And yes, Simon is back, with Nick Robinson reprising his role from the film and also serving as narrator.

Disney+ was originally set to have this series, but Disney found that its themes and depictions of things like alcohol and marital issues made it more suitable for Hulu instead. Take a look at the clip below, which introduces us to Cimino’s Victor as he has an… accident with a barista.

Love, Victor, also starring Ana Ortiz, James Martinez, Isabella Ferreira, and Sophia Bush, among others, will premiere on Hulu on July 19.
