First ‘Masters of the Universe: Revelation’ Trailer Unveils Netflix’s Action-Packed ‘He-Man’ Sequel Series

Netflix

Take a look at the official teaser trailer Netflix has released for upcoming series Masters of the Universe: Revelation, bringing back He-Man and co. to the screen!

Kevin Smith is showrunner & executive producer of the series, which serves as a sequel to ’80s animated show He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. We pick up where the iconic characters left off decades ago, catching them after a cataclysmic battle between He-Man and Skeletor. Eternia has been left fractured and the Guardians of Grayskull are scattered. And after decades of secrets tore them apart, it’s up to Teela to reunite the broken band of heroes, and solve the mystery of the missing Sword of Power in a race against time to restore Eternia and prevent the end of the universe.

If you were/are a fan of the original series, and, hell, even if you aren’t too aware of the He-Man brand, the trailer could very well prove enticing. Plenty of action on display, with Bonnie Tyler’s hell-yeah anthem “Holding Out for a Hero” playing out.

The voice casts includes Chris Wood as Prince Adam / He-Man, Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Alicia Silverstone as Queen Marlena, Henry Rollins as Tri-Klops, Steven Root as Battle Cat, Jason Mewes as Stinkor, and Justin Long as Roboto, among others.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation will be hitting Netflix on July 23rd. A 25-minute, Smith-hosted aftershow special Revelations: The Master of the Universe Revelation Aftershow will be released the same day.
