‘Nightmare Alley’ Trailer: Guillermo del Toro’s Latest Stars Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe & More

The official teaser trailer has arrived for Nightmare Alley, the star-studded next picture from acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.

The film is an adaptation of William Lindsay Gresham’s 1946 novel of the same name, which was previously adapted into a 1947 film and a 2010 stage musical. Bradley Cooper plays an ambitious carny with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words. Things take a turn when he hooks up with a female psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett), who, it turns out, is even more dangerous than he is.

It’s a stunning first look at Del Toro’s latest – his first film since his Best Picture-winning fantasy-drama The Shape of Water. Sumptuous visuals and oozing with style, the Oscar winner goes noir with one hell of a cast that also includes Willem Dafoe, Toni Collette, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, Richard Jenkins, David Strathairn, Holt McCallany, Clifton Collins Jr and Tim Blake Nelson. This thing can take my money already.

Nightmare Alley will open in US cinemas on December 17th and Australian cinemas on January 22nd.
