Nicole Kidman reunites with The Undoing and Big Little Lies creator David E. Kelly for Nine Perfect Strangers, a star-studded miniseries adaptation of Aussie author Liane Moriarty’s bestseller of the same name.
The official teaser trailer has arrived for the NSW-shot miniseries, which has Kidman playing the mysterious director of an isolated health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation. We follow nine stressed city dwellers who have signed up for what they believe will be a ten-day retreat that reinvigorates their tired minds and bodies, but little do they know…
There’s quite a strong ensemble here, including Luke Evans, Michael Shannon, Samara Weaving, Tiffany Boone, Bobby Cannavale, Melvin Gregg, Regina Hall, Manny Jacinto, Asher Keddie, and Grace Van Patten. All eight episodes are directed by Jonathan Levine (50/50, Warm Bodies, Long Shot), with Kelly writing alongside John Henry Butterworth (Edge of Tomorrow, Ford v Ferrari).
An intriguing trailer below. Those that have read the book are no doubt in on the secrets; the rest of us are left to wonder, what is Kidman’s character up to exactly?
