‘Old’ Trailer Unveils M. Night Shyamalan’s Trippy Rapid-Ageing Thriller

Universal Pictures

The full-length trailer has arrived for Old, the next flick from filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan.

The plot has a number of people visiting a beautiful and secluded beach, only to discover that this location – or something at this location – is causing everyone to age rapidly. Like, ‘an entire life in a single day’ type of rapidly. What is going on?!

Gael García Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle), Vicky Krieps (Phantom Thread), Rufus Sewell (The Man in the High Castle), Alex Wolff (Hereditary), and Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo Rabbit) are among the cast of Shyamalan’s intriguing next film, which, let’s face it, could go either way. It’s felt like flipping a coin when heading to a Shyamalan movie over the years, whether it be the heights of The Sixth Sense, Split, The Visit and Signs (mostly), and the lows of The Last Airbender, After Earth and The Happening. Let’s hope we have a good one here.

We’ll find out when Old opens in Australian cinemas on July 22nd and US cinemas on July 23rd.
