Check out the trailer that’s been released for Psycho Goreman, an upcoming sci-fi horror-comedy that has two kids in charge of an ancient alien overlord.
The plot tells of two young siblings who unwittingly resurrect a powerful alien and discover an amulet that forces him to obey their every command. Their fun with Psycho Goreman, as they name him, is short-lived as his resurrection has caught the attention of intergalactic enemies – and this small town is about to be a battle ground the fate of galaxy.
This one looks like fun; a decidedly old-school kids and their alien-style story with a proudly B-grade schlock leaning. The film is written and directed by Steven Kostanski, who co-directed/co-wrote 2016 horror film The Void.
Starring Matthew Ninaber, Nita-Josee Hanna, Owen Myre and Adam Brooks, Psycho Goreman will be released in limited US cinemas, On Demand and Digital on January 22nd, 2021. The film will also be released on horror streaming service Shudder sometime in 2021.
Official synopsis for Psycho Goreman:
Siblings Mimi and Luke unwittingly resurrect an ancient alien overlord who was entombed on Earth millions of years ago after a failed attempt to destroy the universe. They nickname the evil creature Psycho Goreman (or PG for short) and use the magical amulet they discovered to force him to obey their childish whims. It isn’t long before PG’s reappearance draws the attention of intergalactic friends and foes from across the cosmos and a rogues’ gallery of alien combatants converges in small-town suburbia to battle for the fate of the galaxy.
