‘Red Notice’ Bloopers and Behind-the-Scenes Action: Johnson, Gadot & Reynolds Have Fun Making Netflix’s Most Expensive Film Ever

Netflix has unveiled a fun, cuss-heavy blooper reel, along with a behind-the-scenes video, for their star-studded blockbuster, Red Notice.

Watch Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds cracking each other up as they flub lines and scenes, often due to the latter’s quips and ad-lib shenanigans. And that’s writer-director Rawson Marshall Thurber making his blink-and-you’ll-miss cameo at the bar. “Hey, I’m a big fan,” he tells Johnson in the bloopers. “F**k off,” Johnson responds.

The “On the Set with…” video shows how a number of scenes actually looked like on set. It’s amusing to see Johnson and Gadot dance sans music and just how far the hits were from actually coming to contact during the fights.

The $US200 million-plus action-adventure quickly shot to the number one spot on Netflix’s most-watched chart for the week of November 8th – November 14th, with the streaming giant reporting that 148.72 million hours of the movie was viewed in just the first few days of release.

As for a sequel: “I think that is a real possibility,” Thurber has said to THR. “If we were to make a sequel, the only responsible thing would be to make two and three back-to-back. It’s such a big production, and if you can mount it one time, it will be better for everyone. Including for my mental health.”

Red Notice is now streaming on Netflix.

Official synopsis for Red Notice:

When an Interpol-issued Red Notice — the highest level warrant to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted— goes out, the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is on the case. His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he’s forced to partner with the world’s greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) in order to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, “The Bishop” (Gal Gadot). The high-flying adventure that ensues takes the trio around the world, across the dance floor, trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other’s company. The all star cast is joined by Ritu Arya and Chris Diamantopolous. Directed and written by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Central Intelligence, Skyscraper) and produced by Hiram Garcia, Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions, Beau Flynn’s Flynn Picture Co. and Thurber’s Bad Version, Inc., Red Notice is a stylish globe-trotting game of cat-and-mouse (and cat).
