Ridley Scott’s The Counselor Releases First Teaser Trailer

The first international teaser trailer has been released for The Counselor, the new thriller from director Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Prometheus). Author Cormac McCarthy (No Country for Old Men, The Road) has written his first screenplay with this one.

The teaser trailer doesn’t give much of the plot away, but it does show off one hell of a cast in this upcoming thriller. Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Camercon Diaz all appear in what looks to be a serious awards contender. Make sure you check out the teaser trailer, featuring Bardem’s crazy hair, below.

Thanks to Cinemablend:

It is the story of a lawyer, the Counselor, a man who is so seduced by the desire to get rich, to impress his fiancee Laura, that he becomes involved in a drug-smuggling venture that quickly takes him way out of his depth. His contacts in this are the mysterious and probably corrupt Reiner and the seductive Malkina, so exotic her pets of choice are two cheetahs. As the action crosses the Mexican border, things become darker, more violent and more sexually disturbing than the Counselor has ever imagined.

Also worthy of a mention: Ridley Scott will be reuniting with Dariusz Wolski, the excellent director of photography from Prometheus.

Starring Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Dean Norris, John Leguizamo, Natalie Dormer, Goran Visnjic, Bruno Ganz and Rosie Perez.

Brad Pitt is currently appearing in World War Z, you can read our review for that film right HERE.
