Sony has dropped a couple of crazy trailers for Rough Night, an upcoming adult comedy led by Scarlett Johansson.
It’s Jess’ (Johansson) bachelorette party, and it’s all fun and drugs until they accidentally kill the stripper. Yep, it’s a simple and familiar dark comedic premise (1998’s Very Bad Things comes to mind), but there’s a good amount of talent here to suggest we could be in for something pretty damn funny.
The cast includes Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer and Zoë Kravitz, and Lucia Aniello, known for her directing, writing and producing work on Glazer’s much-loved series Broad City, is on board as director and co-writer. Check out a red band trailer and an international trailer, the latter of which offers up a number of different snippets, below.
Rough Night, also starring Demi Moore, Colton Haynes, Ty Burrell, Dean Winters and Karan Soni, opens in Australia on June 15 and hits the US on June 16.
Synopsis for Rough Night:
Five best friends from college (played by Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, and Zoë Kravitz) reunite 10 years later for a wild bachelorette weekend in Miami. Their hard partying takes a hilariously dark turn when they accidentally kill a male stripper. Amidst the craziness of trying to cover it up, they’re ultimately brought closer together when it matters most.
