Sisters TV Spot Offers First Look at Upcoming Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Comedy

Universal Pictures has unveiled our first look at Sisters, the upcoming comedy starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, during the Golden Globe Awards telecast. It was a smart and unsurprising move for the studio, no doubt aiming to capitalise on the Fey and Poehler fans watching them host the ceremony.

It’s only a 20-second spot, but it nevertheless delivers the comedy’s tone effectively. Fey and Poehler do their thing in this comedy that sees them play sisters throwing one last house party before their parents sell the family home.

Jason Moore, director of the successful comedy Pitch Perfect, directs from a screenplay by Saturday Night Live writer Paula Pell. We’re looking forward to this one.

Sisters also stars Maya Rudolph and John Leguizamo.

Official synopsis for Sisters:

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reunite for Sisters, a new film from Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore about two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. Looking to recapture their glory days, they throw one final high-school-style party for their classmates, which turns into the cathartic rager that a bunch of ground-down adults really need.
