The first official full-length trailer has arrived for Smallfoot, an upcoming CG-animated film featuring Channing Tatum as the voice of a Yeti named Migo.
The film follows a Yeti who discovers the existence of monsters long thought to be myth: humans, aka “smallfoot.” Throwing his Yeti community into an uproar, Migo goes in search of what could be outside their snowy village.
Smallfoot could prove to be an amiable film that you can takes the kids to, although the new trailer doesn’t show off too much in the way of footage to get all that excited. Warner Animation Group had hits with The Lego Movie and The Lego Batman Movie, had a moderate result with Storks, and a bit of a misstep with The Lego Ninjago Movie. We’ll see how this one fares. Lego Movie directors/writers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, by the way, are on board as executive producers.
Directed by Karey Kirkpatrick, who previously co-directed animated film Over the Hedge and directed the Eddie Murphy comedy Imagine That, and also featuring voice work from James Corden, Zendaya, Common, LeBron James, Gina Rodriguez, Danny DeVito, Yara Shahidi, Ely Henry, and Jimmy Tatro.
Cordon continues his run of animated films; in the last 3 years he’s earned voice credits with Norm of the North – UK release, Trolls, The Emoji Movie and Peter Rabbit, plus he’s voicing Balloon Man in the upcoming Teen Titans Go! To the Movies.

The film releases in Australian cinemas on September 27 and opens in the US on September 28.
