The first trailer has been unveiled for Snatch, an upcoming Crackle (streaming service) series loosely based on the much-loved Guy Ritchie film of the same name.
Apparently inspired by a real-life London heist, Snatch follows a group of young hustlers who come across a truck load of stolen gold bullion. They soon find themselves in the world of organised crime, and having to navigate very deadly terrain.
Although the many fans of the crime comedy may be unhappy to hear their beloved film is getting a loose television adaptation, the trailer below does offer up a good look at what appears to be a fun new show. Let’s not forget, you can actually make a good television series influenced by a standout film. Just look at FX’s Fargo. Fingers crossed this ambitious new series brings the goods.
Snatch, starring Rupert Grint, Luke Pasqualino, Dougray Scott, Ed Westwick, Tamer Hassan, Juliet Aubrey, Phoebe Dynevor, Lucien Laviscount and Stephanie Leonidas, among many others, will begin on Crackle on March 16.
