Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn play daughter and mother in the upcoming comedy Snatched.
Directed by Jonathan Levine, known for All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, 50/50, Warm Bodies and The Night Before, Snatched tells of a down-on-her-luck woman in her 30s who convinces her cautious mom to accompany her on a vacation to Ecuador. Everything goes downhill fast when the two are kidnapped.
How one feels of Schumer’s brand of comedy will no doubt determine the anticipation level for this comedy. That being said, there are some positive factors that, hopefully, bodes well for at least an amiable time. Schumer and Hawn look to have some nice chemistry, writer Katie Dippold has a resume that includes Parks and Recreation and The Heat, and, if nothing else, Levine’s at the helm. We’ll see.
