‘Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber’ Trailer: Joseph Gordon-Levitt is CEO of the Game-Changing App in Showtime Series

Take a look at the official trailer that’s arrived for Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber, the first chapter of the Showtime anthology series dedicating every season to a story that rocked the business world to its core and changed culture.

Season 1: Uber. Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as Uber co-founder and once CEO Travis Kalanick and Kyle Chandler plays Bill Gurley, the venture capital guru who was a pivotal mentor to Kalanick. The series looks at the sometimes tumultuous relationship between the two and depicts the larger-than-life journey of this upstart transportation company. “Uber stands out as both a marvel and a cautionary tale,” says Showtime, “featuring internal and external battles that ripple with unpredictable consequences”.

The series was created by Billions co-creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien, with its first season based on the 2019 nonfiction book of the same name by Mike Isaac. Plenty of talent here: the cast includes Hank Azaria as Apple CEO Tim Cook, Uma Thurman as The Huffington Post co-founder and Thrive Global CEO Arianna Huffington, and Elisabeth Shue as Kalanick’s late mother.

Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber will premiere on Showtime on February 27th.
