Netflix has unveiled the teaser trailer for Tekken: Bloodline, an anime series adaptation of the popular fighting game franchise.

Plot elements are set after Tekken 2 and prior to Tekken 3, following Jin Kazama as he deals with the loss of his mother and his quest for vengeance against Aztec fighting god Ogre. Jin trains with his grandather, the powerful Heihachi Mishima, as he prepares to enter the ultimate battle on a global stage “” The King of Iron Fist Tournament.

Should be a must-see for Tekken fans here. Apart from depicting Jin’s origin story, a number of Tekken characters are, of course, featured; Kazuya Mishima, Leroy Smith, King, Jun Kazama, and Paul Phoenix are among those teased at in the trailer below.

The Tekken franchise has been adapted a variety of times over the years, including two ill-received live-action films (2010’s Tekken and 2014’s Tekken: A Man Called X) and a two-part anime series in 1998 (released together as Tekken: The Motion Picture in some overseas markets).

Netflix has yet to announce a specific release date for Tekken: Bloodline, although it has confirmed a streaming release sometime this year.
