Netflix has dropped the official trailer for The Bubble, a Judd Apatow-directed (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, The King of Staten Island) comedy with a cast that includes Karen Gillan, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, and Pedro Pascal, among others.

This meta comedy surrounds the production of a big franchise picture, the amusingly titled Cliff Beasts 6: Battle for Everest – Memories of a Requiem, attempting to come together during the pandemic. The stars and crew find themselves stuck inside a pandemic bubble, and losing it, as they make this film about flying dinosaurs.

It looks like wild, silly, timely fun, and an amusing nod to the type of production that was Jurassic World: Dominion, with various limitations, sprawling sets, and a huge cast and crew to manage during this difficult period. Apatow wrote the screenplay with Pam Brady, the longtime South Park producer whose writing credits include South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut, Team America: World Police, and Hot Rod.

The Bubble, also starring Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, Maria Bakalova, Leslie Mann, Kate McKinnon, and Peter Serafinowicz, will be streaming on Netflix from April 1st.
