The trailer has dropped for The High Note, an upcoming comedy starring Dakota Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross and Ice Cube.

Johnson plays Maggie, the overworked personal assistant of music superstar Grace Davis, played by Golden Globe winner Ross. When Grace’s manager (Cube) presents the singer with a big career choice, Maggie joins her with a plan that could change their lives forever.

This marks the second comedy in just two years from director Nisha Ganatra, who delivered the Emma Thompson and Mindy Kaling-starring Late Night last year. The High Note, also starring Kelvin Harrison Jr., Zoe Chao, Eddie Izzard, Bill Pullman, and Diplo, arrives in Australia on May 7 and hits the U.S. on May 8.
